This evening ZEALANDIA by Night tour provides a magical experience.
Begin your tour with highlights of the fully immersive and
interactive exhibition and find out the story of how this safe
haven was created. Then step through the predator-exclusion fence
into the forest, where you will experience something incredible -
evening birdsong that hasn't been heard on the mainland for more
than a century.
As darkness falls, your guide will
start looking for our elusive national mascot - the kiwi. Over 100
call our valley home, so there's a good chance of spotting one,
foraging in the leaf litter! Often, the glow-worms are so bright
you won't even need your torch! This is an utterly unforgettable

Today is one of Wellington's must dos! Te Papa is New
Zealand's national museum, offering visitors a unique and authentic
experience of New Zealand's treasures and stories. Prepare to be
engaged, stimulated and surprised! The sampler tour covers key
highlights of the Museum.
This afternoon take a trip on the
Wellington Cable Car, one of Wellington's most popular tourist
attractions. The cars run from Lambton Quay in the commercial heart
of the city, tunnel under the corporate towers of The Terrace and
emerges in Kelburn. The ride continues past Kelburn Park and the
Victoria University to the top of Upland Road, where the Lookout,
Carter Observatory, Planetarium and Cable Car Museum are located.
The view from the lookout takes in the city's central business
district and out across the harbour to the Hutt Valley, Eastbourne
and Mt. Victoria. You can take a return trip from the city, or walk
back down through the gardens and historic Bolton Street cemetery,
emerging across the road from Parliament. (optional tour, cost not

Beaches, Bays & Seals Kayak:
Coach or Drive to Kaiteriteri by 9.10 am, where you meet
your guide and join the 9.30am boat trip to Torrent Bay. Enjoy
cruising this magnificent coastline.
On arrival at our Torrent Bay Lodge
a full training session and safety briefing is delivered. Then it
is onto the water, to discover the beautiful beaches, tidal
estuaries and rivers of the most scenic kayaking area of the park -
Anchorage to Bark Bay.
Pause at a sheltered cove for lunch
(supplied by us), take time out to relax, explore, swim or sunbathe
on the golden sand.
On your return journey, if the
winds are favourable the kayak sails will be hoisted and you will
sail back to Torrent Bay, stopping at Pinnacle Island to view the
seal colony there. Sea birds working the shoals of fish or resting
on the rocky outcrops add to the experience. You may even see some
of the Blue Penguins that live here.
Back at Torrent Bay Lodge, freshen
up with a hot shower and rejoin the boat - recount the days
adventure while cruising back to Kaiteriteri, arriving 5.45 pm.
