New Zealand is blessed with such a diversity of scenery, heritage sites, and areas of cultural interest it is perfectly suited for a vacation on the move. New Zealand is a sports-loving nation known for its easygoing, friendly people and diverse, breathtaking scenery. Despite being small, remote and not very populated, New Zealand punches well above its weight with its fabulous festivals, excellent food and wine, and magical outdoor experiences. The world is a kinder, gentler, more respectful place down in New Zealand!

International Airports: With international airports in Auckland, Hamilton, Wellington, Christchurch, and Dunedin it gives you plenty of options of where to fly into; all of which are venue cities. Each airport has its own unique qualities. Auckland being the largest airport makes it the most available for people from all over to fly into. Christchurch Airport is where most international visitors enter the South Island while Dunedin Airport is a small airport servicing the lower end of South Island. Queenstown Airport boasts one of the most scenic landing strips in the world. At Wellington Airport it's the gateway to the lower North Island and New Zealand's capital city. Keep in mind when arriving for an International flight it is best to check in at least 2 hours prior to departure.

  • Always avoid ostentatious displays of expensive jewelry, cameras and other valuables;
  • Do not walk around carrying large sums of money at any time;
  • At night, steer clear of dark and isolated areas. It is always better to stick to well-lit, busy streets;
  • Find out about trouble spots at a destination - talk to the locals, B&B owners, and so on;
  • Plan your self-drive routes beforehand;
  • Always take a map with you in case you get lost;
  • When driving, keep car doors locked and wind the windows up;
  • Lock valuables in the boot of the car;
  • Never give strangers a lift or pick up hitchhikers;
  • If in doubt about the safety of an area, phone or visit the local police station for advice.
