General Tour Information - FAQ's

Below is important information that relates to all of our 2013 British & Irish Lions tours and match packages. Please read this information for specific details prior to looking at the different packages.

Match Tickets Our weekend match packages have been priced based on Silver Category match tickets. When you go through the booking process, you will have the opportunity to upgrade to either Gold or Platinum tickets (the best available). The location of each category of match ticket varies according to the different stadiums and the exact location of our tickets will be known closer to match dates. All escorted tour packages (10-34 day tours) include guaranteed Platinum match tickets to all included Test matches and guaranteed Category A match tickets to all included Tour matches against the Super Rugby teams. These tickets are the best category available. The opportunity to upgrade to Gold and Platinum tickets is limited and will be available through the booking process until our limited allocation is exhausted so we suggest you book early to avoid disappointment. During recent Bledisloe Cup matches and on our tours to the Rugby World Cup 2011 New Zealand we were able to provide all those who booked early with their requested category of seating but many late bookings missed the opportunity to upgrade.

Flight Information Package prices do not include flights. As the flight schedule and prices do not get confirmed until 360 days prior to departure, information on flights will not be available until this time. For domestic services, best available airfares are available online once they are within booking range and we encourage you to book early. Should you wish to include flights as part of the package, inquire with our consultants and we can contact you with information once confirmed information becomes available. All domestic flights listed as inclusions on extended tour itineraries are included in the tour package price along with the cost of airline taxes.

Deposit and Payment Schedule The following deposit and payment schedule applies to the different tour options:

Escorted Tours (10-34 day trips):

• Initial deposit at the time of booking: 25% of total tour coast
• 1st April 2012: A 2nd deposit equal to 25% of total tour cost is required
• 1st November 2012: A 3rd deposit equal to 25% of total tour cost is required
• 1st March 2013: Final balance of 25% of total tour cost is required

Non-escorted Provincial and Test Match Packages

• A deposit equal to 50% of the package cost is required at the time of booking.
• Final balance is required on or before 1st November 2012.
• Any bookings made after 1st November 2012 will require full payment.

If you require flexibility in payment terms, please contact our office. All payments made are non-refundable.

Tour Guides and Hosts Our Escorted Tours include the services of former Qantas Wallabies and/or Lions players as tour hosts. These hosts will provide a unique insight into the mindset of the squad in the lead up to matches as well as in depth analysis of performances throughout the tour. For our sightseeing trips you will enjoy the services of a local professional guide to provide you with information on the sights, sounds and tastes that we are taking in. Our Match Packages are non-escorted packages for the independent traveler. You will have the opportunity to meet staff and former players at functions and you are free to plan your experience to best suit your own needs.

Exclusive We Love Rugby Supporters Function With over 5000 fans expected to be travelling for each Test match, our exclusive supporter functions will be the biggest and best parties in town. Rugby fans need no excuse to get together and share a drink and a yarn, but we have given you the best excuse for a decade, and with live entertainment and former playing legends amongst the ranks, the atmosphere will be unbelievable.

Accommodation Escorted tours include a mixture of 4 and 5 star accommodation throughout Australia. Examples of hotels are included in the itinerary and confirmed accommodation will be available for each tour on our website by end of March 2013. All rooms are configured as twin (two separate beds) or double (one double/queen bed) share. For those travelling by themselves we can either match you up with another traveler (subject to availability) or you can pay a single supplement for your own room.

Bedding Configurations for Hotels

• Single room is for one person
• Twin rooms include two separate beds
• Double rooms are for couples and have one bed

Merchandise All tours and match packages will include an exclusive 2013 British & Irish Lions commemorative jersey as part of your merchandise and as a great memento of the tour. We are working with the suppliers on the design on the merchandise as we speak and once finalized, the images of the supporter wear will be uploaded on the website.

Airport Transfers With the ability to extend your trip for as many days before and after the standard dates as you wish, airport transfers will be available to purchase via group or private transport. Details and prices for transfers in each city will be available via the website by March 2013.

Match Transfers: With most major events held in Australian Capital cities, an event ticket will normally grant you free access to public transport however these details are still yet to be released by each State Government. We will be using venues within walking distance of each stadium for our exclusive pre-match supporter functions, and with most of our accommodation located in the CBDs, match day movements will be a breeze. For our escorted tour passengers, we may offer coach transfers to and from the tour hotel to the ground, depending on the coach parking capacity for each stadium and the distance from the final hotel of choice. Further details will be provided closer to the event date.

Travel Insurance is not included in the package cost. We highly recommend you purchase comprehensive travel insurance. Travel insurance can be obtained through the link on our website.

Day Tours and Optional Activities Our escorted tours will include a number of day tours and activities which are sure to be highlights during your 2013 British and Irish Lions touring experience. These have been included in the cost of the tour but we understand that passengers have different perceptions of what constitutes their perfect getaway and as such, the choice is yours as to whether you attend these or spend your day relaxing. There will also be opportunities to book on optional activities such as a Sydney Harbour Bridge Climb or Yarra Valley winery tour as you go through the booking process. If you book a Sydney Harbour Bridge Climb, you must read, sign and return the BridgeClimb Sydney terms and conditions to We Love Rugby for medical and safety reasons. These conditions can be accessed by clicking on the elements name in the booking process. For those taking non-escorted match packages in each city, a number of optional day tours will be available through the booking process to allow you to experience regional highlights around each city.

Porterage We have not included porterage in our escorted hotel tours as the majority of passengers prefer to handle their own luggage. For the elderly or less mobile some hotels offer porterage which we are happy to provide you a price on closer to the event.
