Michigan International Speedway is celebrating its 40 year anniversary this year. Michigans race track opened back in 1968 and since then has grown to become the largest sports arena in the state. Today the seating has increased from its original capacity to four times the amount of spectators that the arena can hold. Many other renovations have taken place at this track other than the seating such as new ticket gates, improved concession stands and the skylounge area which sits high above the start/finish line. This year track fans will have a new scoreboard, improved turn one seating, and new campsites. This is definitely on of the countrys premier racing facilities.
