Sunday Night football on 10/17/10 at Fedex Field! The redskins
take on the fearsome colts next week on sunday night football. At
Great Atlantic
Travel we specialize in Redskins travel Check out our available
packages for this game and go see it live. With Clinton Portis out
for a few weeks or longer and new running back Ryan Torrain in the
back field, the Redskins may have a new hope for a running back.
hes a quick guy and can break tackles pretty regularly. This will
be a good test for Washington's defense to see what they are made
of. The colts are ranked 2nd in points at 29.2, 3rd in yards gained
at 411, 2nd in passing yards at 335, but their only offensive
weakness is their running game ranked 29th in the league with only
75 yards per game. Peyton manning of course makes up for this when
he goes into beast mode! However on Defense the colts are ranked
very poor in Rushing yards (ranked 29th at allowing 150 yards per
game) watch carefully to see if Ryan Torrain can be the new
Redskins go to back!

The season is about to begin! The Vikings take on the Saints and
it is sure to be a good one. With the Brett Favre drama finally
coming to an end (at least for this year) and the Saints winning
team ready to go this game is sure to be a great match up. The game
I am looking forward to the most is the Redskins V. Cowboys. Great
Atlantic still has some overnight packages with or without bus and
also very limited tickets left. Whatever game you are looking to
watch this week i know it will be the start of a great season. If
you need tickets to NFL games check out Great Atlantic

As eluded to yesterday, Great Atlantic Travel has added advanced
Washington Redskins travel packages for the 2008 regular season.
Limited amount of packages for the NFL's first preseason game
between the Washington Redskins and Indianapolis Colts in the Hall
of Fame Game in Canton, Ohio on August 3rd, 2008. The 2008 NFL
Schedule is not expected to be announced until early to mid April,
however call and book now to get best price and seating available.
Day Trip (Start at $170 per person), Overnight UDrive (start at
$195 per person), and Overnight with Bus Packages (start at $235
per person) available for all Washington Redskins games at
FedEx Field. The Redskins will host two AFC North
powerhouses the Super Bowl XL Champions Pittsburgh
Steelers and the Cleveland Browns coming off a 10-6 record in
2007. Also coming to the loudest, and biggest stadium in the league
in 2008 is the Arizona Cardinals, who lost in a thrilling game
at FedEx Field last year, powerful running back Stephen Jackson and
his St. Louis Rams, as well as Drew Brees, Reggie Bush, and their
New Orleans Saints. Of course the Redskins will also host their
rivals in the NFL's toughest division year in and year out - the
NFC East. Donovan McNabb will bring his motivated Philadelphia
Eagles into town as they are coming off being the only NFC East
team to miss the 2007 playoffs. The most popular game every year
and one of the biggest rivalries in all of sports, the Washington
Redskins will welcome back Tony Romo, T.O. and the Dallas Cowboys
who suffered a bad defeat to the Redskins in the last regular
season game of 2007 where the Redskins impressively made it to the
Playoffs with the convincing win. The other NFC East
rival are the Eli Manning led Super Bowl XLII Champion New
York Giants, who always have a physical and thrilling game against
the Redskins. Quite an impressive group of teams to come to FedEx
Field in 2008. Don't delay - reserve now as prices are based on
availability and subject to change. $75 deposits can be made to
reserve the game of your choice at the starting price. Exact dates
will be released by the NFL in early to mid April.

Well it turned out to be a terrific sports weekend with great
sports on tv as well as big sports news. The Redskins have
hired their offensive coordiantor of one week Jim Zorn to
be their 27th head coach. This seems to be a desperate hire after
being turned down. I saw his press conference and I can't help to
notice how this guy seems like a nice guy who is a great speaker
even though he didn't know the teams official colors. Sure he
has never been a head coach, nor an offensive coordiantor, or has
ever called a play. What he has done is shape Matt Hasselbeck up to
be one of the top 5 quarterbacks in the NFL on a consistent basis.
Jason Campbell will be learning his third offensive system but this
variation of the West Coast offense has done wonders with good
qb's making them great and I think that is what will
happen for Campbell as Zorn will be hands on with him since as
Jason goes, so will his career as the coach of the Redskins. After
all said and done I like this hire and I point to the
fact that this is completely different than what Snyder has been
doing (making a big splash with previous hires) and maybe that is
what we need. Also look in Green Bay where their coach Mike
McCarthy led his team to his 13-3 record in his second season,
or Eagles coach Andy Reid who brought the Eagles to 4 consecutive
NFC Championship games as well as only having 3 losing seasons
since being hired in 1999. Both of these coaches were releatively
unknown quarterback coaches - just like Zorn. Zorn will
get his first chance to show what he can do with a promising
Washington Redskins playoff team in the league's first preseason
game which will be the Hall of Fame Game against Peyton
Manning and the Indianapolis Colts on August 3rd in Canton, Ohio.
This looks to be a terrific weekend for all of the
Redskins faithful as Great Atlantic Travel will set you
up so you can see Redskins greats Darrell Green and Art Monk
(FINALLY!) get inducted in to the NFL Hall of
Fame. Its only a preseason game, but it will be in high demand
as the first game in the Post-Gibbs era as well as the huge
Redskins following that is sure to show up. Don't delay as we will
have packages and tickets available, especially when the stadium
seats only about 20,000 fans, approximately 70,000 less than FedEx
Field and against the high powered offense of Peyton Manning and
the Colts. Any Redskin fan who bleeds burgandy and gold
would want to be in Canton for this once in a lifetime experience
with a professional package made easy!

It was late Saturday night when i tried to go to sleep for the
night when i heard the Redskins hired a new coach.
Finally, it has finally happened after all these weeks.
I do not know much about Jim Zorn but if he was the a coach
for the Seahawks it cannot be all that bad. Best of luck to
the Redskins and a winng season.
